Star-t

The Star-t of all that we are... stars. Elements from Helium up to Iron are formed from Hydrogen in the centre of stars. All the elements heavier than Iron are only formed when stars go supernova... which means that we are all star-dust!

This was my original idea for the Start subject in Visual Perception, but I just wasn't happy with the way it came out. I wanted to try again with my camera (I used our big camera for this, because it has uber-zoom) but the skies didn't comply - it's been cloudy ever since.

I would have taken a picture of the constellation Orion and Sirius from Canis Major, because they represent Osiris and Isis, who were instrumental in another 'start' - one of the Egyptian fertility myths.

However, I did want to get my idea (and pun!) out there.
